Mattress Firmness

Big Fig offers a range of options on the 10-point firmness scale. The Big Fig Luxe scores 6–7/10, the Big Fig Classic is 7–8/10 and the Big Fig Firm rates 9–10/10. This means heavy sleepers can find the perfect balance between comfort and support. Titan mattresses rate 8-8.5 on the firmness scale. That’s fine if it suits you, but the balanced feel of the Big Fig is great for all sleep positions and offers better pressure relief, reducing the risk of discomfort in key areas like hips and shoulders.
Weight Stress Test

Big Fig supports up to 1,100 lbs. The Titan just can’t handle that weight. To prove it, we stacked 270 lbs of weights on each mattress. The Big Fig didn’t flinch, but the Titan collapsed halfway down to the foundation, flattening the foam and compressing the springs.

Big Fig’s superior design and engineering stand out when we start counting coils. Our mattresses have 50% more individually wrapped coils than a standard hybrid mattress. The coils in Titan mattresses are also individually wrapped, but they aren’t as plentiful or made with the same high quality, 15-gauge steel. Plus, our higher coil count means a Big Fig offers more comfort and will last longer.
Foundation

This one’s not even close. The Big Fig Foundation is one of the strongest available. We use 18 slats and two center beams. The Titan foundation is a standard design not made for big sleepers. It lacks a reinforced structure and is warrantied for just three years. The Big Fig warranty is for 20 years.
Cooling Features

Big Fig Firm and Classic Mattresses have THERMOGEL COOLING® technology. The Luxe uses LPDE fabric to actively cool big sleepers. We also use a layer of perforated gel-infused foam to promote airflow.
