Easy-to-Follow Assembly Instructions for the Big Fig Platform Bed
Time: The bed can be assembled in 10 minutes or less but goes quickest with two people working together.
Boxes: The Big Fig Platform Bed comes in 3 boxes, each weighing between 32–52 lbs. Carefully remove all pieces from the packaging and arrange them where you'd like the bed to be. Note that sometimes the boxes may not arrive together.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Prepare the Pieces
- Lay out all the parts where you want the bed to be.
- Position the Long Rails (sides) with the "U" joints facing outward, and the Short Rails (wall and foot) with "U" joints facing inward.
- Set aside the Slats and Headboard for now.
- Assemble the First Leg and Rails
- Starting at the foot of the bed, stand up the first Leg.
- Insert one Long Rail into the leg, ensuring the "U" joint is facing up and the screws side is facing inward.
- While balancing, pick up the Short Rail and insert it into the leg with the "U" joint facing down. Angle the leg and rail together for a smooth fit.
- Attach the Second Leg
- Insert the other Long Rail into the second Leg, ensuring the screws side faces inward and the "U" joint faces up.
- Connect the Other Side
- Lift the Short Rail and insert it into the other leg.
- Add the Legs at the Head
- Move to the Head of the bed.
- Place a Leg under the nearest Long Rail. Repeat on the other side.
- Attach the Headboard
- Insert the Headboard into the legs with the "U" joint facing down. Press it down fully.
- Secure the Center Rails and Legs
- Place the 3 Center Legs beneath the Center Rails.
- Position the Center Rails inside the horseshoes on the frame.
- Use the Long Screws to secure the Short Rail and Headboard to the center rails. Tighten by hand and adjust the legs if needed.

- Add the Slats
- Lay the first set of rolled Slats at the head of the bed.
- Place the first slat between the Short Rail and the Slat Stop to hold it in place.
- Roll the slats down to the foot of the bed, securing the last slat between the Short Rail and Slat Stop.
- Repeat with the second set of slats on the opposite side.
Now you’re ready to place your Big Fig Mattress on the platform bed and enjoy!
