Big Fig says their mattress is “built for people with a bigger figure” and can support sleepers weighing up to 550 pounds, or couples weighing a total of 1,100 pounds. This bed has plenty of coils, 1,600 to be exact, that are made with thicker steel to support heavier weights. It also has higher density foam to offer more support while still being comfortable.
While many foam mattresses can sleep hot, this one has THERMOGEL COOLING ® treated fabric and perforated gel-infused foam to help keep you cool and let air flow through, though we haven’t had a chance to test this in our Lab. However, our panelists say they notice this mattress is cooler than other memory foam mattresses they’ve owned. One thing to note: this may not be ideal for couples who are at different weights, as one lightweight tester commented that her side of the bed stayed hard while her heavier husband’s side had a dent.
